Lifeboat and Davit Inspections
Baltimore Marine Safety is now class approved for Lifeboat and Lifeboat Davit Inspection and repair, BMS Life Boat technician has over 30 years in the marine industry and is ABBRA approved for life boat fiberglass repairs. BMS Engineers will have a keen sense of detail to make sure that your boats will work as designed. BMS will make sure when your vessels sails, that all safety equipment designed to protect life, will functionally work without question.
Baltimore Marine Safety is Manufacturer- and Class-Approved for Lifeboat and Davit Inspections. This includes: • Annual Inspections • Five year Inspections: Load Testing • Lifeboat Inspections and Repair • Release Gear, Hook, and Brake Inspections and Repair • Davit and Winch Inspections Inspections a are conducted according to IMO Maritime Safety Committee (MSC)IMO 402(96) and manufacturers’ guidelines. We also encourage vessel crews to perform weekly visual and monthly inspections and routine maintenance as defined by the manufacturer, under the direct supervision of a senior ship’s officer (as recommended by the IMO MSC). Immersion Suits
Baltimore Marine Safety can effectively and efficiently inspect your immersion suits with our class approved test equipment. We can provide visual inspection and pressure test as required by IMO and USCG guidelines. Baltimore Marine safety can provide new suits and replacement lights as needed.
